5 Things You Need to Do to Look Your Best on Your Wedding Day

You’ve been in a flurry attending to the details of your upcoming wedding. You’ve chosen your wedding dress, picked your maid of honor and bridesmaids, decided on a wedding theme or color motif. You’ve flipped through hundreds of pages of photos before you finally saw the perfect wedding cake. You’ve argued over the menu, and had to edit your wedding guests list so many times.

Frantic isn’t a good enough word to describe the state you’ve been in during the months or weeks leading up to your monumental walk down the aisle.

Shortly before your wedding day, you look in the mirror and feel like screaming. Everything would be perfect and beautiful on your wedding day, except for the centerpiece; you.

Don’t let the above scenario actually happen to you! Even if you have to single-handedly do everything to make your wedding a success, don’t neglect to yourself.

Here are 5 things you can do to make sure you look your best on your wedding day:

1. Watch what you put in your mouth. Be conscious of what you eat weeks (or months, if you have that long) before your wedding. Don’t go on an eating-spree. Repeat after yourself: “The fridge is not my best friend!!”

2. Watch what you put in your mouth, again. There’s no need to starve yourself. Eat as much as you want,of the healthy stuff: fruit and veggies. You’ll have that natural glow on your wedding day, and it isn’t because of any cosmetic surgeries or painful injections!

3. Pay extra attention to your hair. Get it trimmed a few weeks before your wedding to allow your hair to grow out a bit. Get your hair fixed, colored, highlighted, waxed, etc.  ahead of time. You’ll look more beautiful on your wedding day when your hair looks natural.

4. Schedule body care sessions. Give yourself a relaxing and refreshing soak in the tub. Pamper yourself with natural lotions, soaps and fragrances. Ease the tension out of your body and you’ll be a vision on your wedding day.

5. Lastly, there’s no better and more effective way to release your wedding-related tensions, pressures and frustrations than to go on a long, brisk walk or vigorous exercise. Play music in your room and jump, jog, move, dance, whatever.

You deserve to have the perfect and most wonderful wedding. However, you owe it to yourself to be the best you can be on that special day!
